KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR BREAST SCAN

Referring physicians and imaging facilities provide minimum information prior to breast scans leaving women unprepared and frustrated by the experience.

Tough Titties Club fills that gap in patient care by assembling scan information from their facility and reputable sources such as the American Cancer Society to give women a complete picture of what to expect. Our personalized scan support includes:

  • • Procedure overview
  • • Facility amenities
  • • How to prepare & after care (if applicable)
  • • What to expect day of your exam
  • • What to expect after your exam

“Scanxiety” is defined as the distress and/or anxiety occurring before, during, and after cancer-related imaging/scans. It is normal to feel stress before imaging tests. Currently mental health support for scanxiety is not readily available to women. Tough Titties Club aims to destigmatize and shine a light on this transitory emotional state, and support women with proven tools to help them get through breast scans.
