Tough Titties Club fills that gap in patient care by assembling scan information from their facility and reputable sources such as the American Cancer Society to give women a complete picture of what to expect. Our personalized scan support includes:
“Scanxiety” is defined as the distress and/or anxiety occurring before, during, and after cancer-related imaging/scans. It is normal to feel stress before imaging tests. Currently mental health support for scanxiety is not readily available to women. Tough Titties Club aims to destigmatize and shine a light on this transitory emotional state, and support women with proven tools to help them get through breast scans.
Breast scans can be an unpleasant, stressful, and upsetting experience. While we can't change scan process, policies, or the quality of facility & service. We can empower women to advocate for their care with information, tools, and shared knowledge.
